Mini Birthday Cake

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

I'm going to Bangkok around January and am in search for a mini birthday cake (for 2 people). I research and found an old topic on this, but the poster required a cake for a large party whereas I only need a mini one. Looked up some suggestions from that post (Mousses & Meringues) but they only do slices of cake or a big one. I'm staying close by Terminal 21 but am willing to venture out a bit if needed. Thanks for any and all suggestions.

On a side note, is there a Thai version of the birthday song? Wanted to make it special and sing a Thai birthday song instead of singing the English version. Thanks.

I have seen small birthday cakes at both Foodland  and S&P.     There is a Foodland not far from you on Soi 5 and another on Soi 16.     I don't know for sure but it's a good chance there is a S&P in Terminal 21.     If not, then go to the basement in Terminal 21 and you may find what you are looking for there.

Thanks. Since I'm arriving a couple days early before the actual birthday. I'll take a look at both and look around Terminal 21 as well. Thanks for the input. Any suggestions on the type of cake a Thai person might like? Although I understand each person is different. Thanks again.

foodland on sukh soi 5 has a good bakery and you might find something suitable there...thai folks don't have the same pastry taste as westerners and like lotsa icing and ostentation, an ornamental display...the presentation is everything...
