A French Muay Thai fighter was left needing emergency surgery in hospital after having his head dented during a fight in Patong, Phuket.

The Sun in the UK reported online that "Jeremy" fought on after a "brutal elbow" strike caught him in the forehead.

The referee stopped the fight at Patong Stadium and Jeremy was given treatment at hospital.

Siamstations reporting on the story added that the surgery was a success and no long term damage was done. There was no brain injury.

Jeremy and another man called "Johnny Betts", who passed on the story after pictures appeared on Facebook, are training at the Tiger Muay Thai gym on the island.

There're lots of guys coming to Pattaya fancying themselves as jean

Claude Van Damme wannbee who has no business in playing with

martial arts getting hurt in the process....

no brain damage as the dent is in an empty place ... my expert medical opinion.

Well, some people just dont fancy sitting on a bar stool in between naps, drinking beer, and trying to impress others with stories of how they are spies and were part in the hunt on Osama while giving away their money to an ugly girl half their age.

But to each their own.

You appear to have met rather peculiar people in bars. But yes, I do agree with your last line.

what happened to the other mans elbow? must have been painful for him as well

no long term damage was done.   555!   Yeah right.  What doctor will put his name on that?

Yes but he was just quoting a lot come to Pattaya. Which they do.

looks like an eggshell-skull to me.
to have a dent like that, likely there has been a fracture, and possibly hemorrhage, hence emergency surgery.
rather amazing that there is no brain damage.
good luck to the guy.

Not sure if this guy is tough or soft. I am happy to hear he is ok and there

was no permanent damage.
