Easy Bticoin?

Featured Replies

I have to make a payment in Bitcoin which I've never done before.

Can someone recommend an easy but also good value path to making the payment?

Someone recommended Bitpay, but on researching I can see in recent weeks a lot of people are complaining their funds have vanished from their wallet, the dust hasn't quite settled so not sure if lost for good, the only thing certain is their funds are no longer showing in wallet or anywhere else.

Coinbase looks interesting, it seems you can do everything via a single account on their site, buy bitcoins, spend bitcoins, sell bitcoins.

I'm just wondering what the catch is? ...lose money on exchange rate or?

Coinbase want ID scans & additionally verification via webcam, rumour has it they also track where bitcoins are being spent ....which defeats the whole purpose of Bitcoin.

Reading up via your link ...why are you using Exodus and not Electrum?

I liked the desktop way they operate, the back up system is very good, both are good

Now they know why the Bit-Coin took a jump in value, is it still worth an investment.?

The exchange fees of 10% are quite steep...

The main fee is the transaction fee you'll need to pay to transfer the bitcoin from your wallet to the wallet of whoever you are making the payment to. Miners usually include transactions with the highest fee/byte first so in recent weeks it's been as high as $26 per transaction at times. You should ask whoever wants you to make the bitcoin payment who will cover this.
