Hi guys.

Looking for some advice, insite, easy answers, contact info ect... From the Pattaya members! Hail!

I'm a long time Bkk resident. looking to spend 4-5 days a week in Pattaya in Feb.

Want to rent an apartment somewhere in Pattaya, central or at main beach area is not too too important.. just as long as I am on or close to a 10bht song taew line.

Need to have internet (broadband cat5 is ideal) and minmal furnishing; fridge...

I am not very fimilar with Pattaya, I have only been there 4 or 5 times for 2 or so days at a time.. I dont know where to begin as far as diving into the room rental scene.. Bangkok yes! I can and have found great apartment rental situations, but Pattaya I know nothing about.

I am hoping someone can help me in the right direction.. if you dont want to share insites with the entire forum then please PM me.

Thanks in advance.

Do: Try Vanaporn across from Carrefour on Central Road. 7k.

Do not: Stay at Day Night Hotel (check local crime news).

PM me if full and I can show you some cheap [under 10k] unlisted places.

I'll know more for sure in a couple of days. I rent two Thai apartments currently. Not very big, but enough to keep my gear in while I'm away. My buddy just moved into a different place near # 3 road. Something like 6,000 a month. I'll check around when I get back and give you an idea of whats available and how much.

You can find apartments ranging from 2,500 baht a month on up to the sky's the limit pretty much. As for internet ? As far as I know, ADSL is the best you can get for now. I pay a thousand baht a month for my ToT connection (1 mb/512kb).

When I got my first apartment, it had just a bed and a night stand. I went out and bought a fridge/TV/DVD player and so on. There are furnished/semi-furnished and unfurnished places available.

Also, contact Chopper as he may have better "inside" knowledge of what's available and for how much.

I would also appreciate some help anyone can give in this respect - need a place for about a month from 19th Feb. Must be cheap, safe, furnished and have a reasonable bed on accounts of a bad back. Not bothered about aircon or internet and it needn't be in the heart of things.
