I bought myself the latest Macbook Air and had an old Macbook which I upgraded last year to a 512GB HDD sitting idle at my home.

Also the Macbook is in perfect condition, I had some shops that have shown an interest to offer me 3000 Baht for it which I found very cheap as the Macbook is in perfect condition.

Is it worth the hassle to drive down to Phantip or Fortune?

Those models are well made and easily upgraded ... I'd sell it privately or give it as a gift to a needy but worthy student . . .

If a shop offered 6000 baht for it you can guarantee that you will get a lot more for it privately.

Which one is it? Metal or white plastic? Here in the UK depending on condition and specs between £150 and £350.

Don't sell it, I upgraded my 2010 MacBook Pro with an SSD and more memory, still use it as a desktop at home, bought a MacBook Air for travelling...........You can use the old one at home like an iTV............they last a lifetime.

agree, I have a white one that for photos, spreadsheets, word-processing , and some video editing has more than enough power. (especially after I packed an SSD as well as a 1 TB HDD into it.)
Moreover, travels well and unlikely that someone were interested to take it away in the lounge.
