Effects of AC

Featured Replies

Months ago had problems with health, waking up totally shattered ,wanted more sleep, back legs whole body aching, loss of balance, totally knackered.  Visit to optician gave me a clue,he stated my eyes always looked tired, put large bowl of water in bedroom that sorted out sore eyes, but sore throat etc, still persisted, wheezing chest too.  Now with cold weather  sleep with windows open(fly screen)  and ,fantastic improvement.  Just cumulative effect building, night after night rash on skin gone, seems immune system was  down too,

The AC system is modern, set on 26/27 each night, filters were cleaned few weeks ago.  Ill put the AC/fans on times when hot weather returns

You may want to check for mold deep in the unit.  Cleaning the filters helps, but the mold and mildew grow everywhere if there's standing water or even high humidity.  I don't notice it when I've been in my place for a while, but when I get back from a trip and flip on the AC, the stench of mold and/or mildew is noticeable.

Actually this is a good idea every six months in my experience - dirt does get around and through the filters and greatly reduces efficiency of cooling if not cleaned regularly.  This should also include the outside unit.  As said normally 5-600 baht per unit to power clean in place and remove/clean parts that come off.
