Tourism police Deputy Commissioner Surachet Hakpal - tasked with ending the operations of the call center gangs - announced a further 28 arrests in Samut Prakarn.

This time all the people were Thais. They had been persuaded to open accounts for use by a gang. They were paid 1,500 baht to open the accounts.

The arrest of the 28 - 13 more are still at large - came as a result of the arrest of a 65 year old man of unknown nationality who was arrested in Bang Plee Yai on December 27th.

Somchai Sae-chee was organizing staff and accounts for a Taiwanese gang with connection to call center fraud in Turkey and Dubai. He was in possession of many bankbooks, cards and phones that led to arrest warrants being made.

The gang are responsible for a billion baht in losses said Surachet, known affectionately as Big Joke.

All the Thai people were charged with aiding and abetting in crime by opening the accounts.

As you see all these Thais that have been found to be aiding and abating

foreign criminals to carry on with they their crimes, they are not sorry,

they're sorry they got caught, and given half a chance they'll do it

again, why? money, greed, stupidity and the inability to understand

that they're also, criminals,

the police will fine them a 1,000 baht and warn them, until the next time...

I got a message today saying the general things they usually send to me. Not sure if the sender was in his room, or from the room of BiB, like this picture......

bit of a joke really. all you have to do is go on craigslist sales section in jobs and they are openly advertising for 'account openers' other wise known as thieves all over asia. wouldn't be hard to trace them. their time will come
