Didn't he wind up as a peace envoy of some kind for the middle east?

Wonder how that's going?

You have to remember that he considers himself an extremely important person.  To be fair, he is - as an example as to how disliked a politician can become.

Blair was Bush's lapdog, not Obama's.

Maybe because Obama is a social democrat, while Blair....euhhhh....

Waffled on that photo, I just like the imagery of colonial role reversal.

This is more what I had in mind though.  Seem to recall lots of bent feelings over this.  But alas, the issue is still one for British voters to decide, despite The Deplorables having spoken already at the poll.

He’s not wrong, but the brexiteers have made their choice

It’s too much to hope for another vote and the uk will face the consequences of the vote.

Good to see voices (even if it is Blair’s) stilling arguing their case, though.

Sign of a healthy democracy.

Blair & healthy democracy?

He is right about brexit of course, but so what?

Even the biggest most despicable fool will occasionally say something right. To the embarrasment of those that say that same thing.

If Blair wants to make a statement, let him do it in Den Haag.

.....and for the civilian victims in that part of the world, up till today..../ and for causing the refugee crisis that was one of the main reasons for the brexit vote.

No, the 'refugee crisis' came later.  The EU open borders policy (plus various other things disliked about the EU) resulted in the brexit vote.

But this thread is about how much we all appreciate blair's input into the debate .

Blair has repeatedly called for reversing Brexit,

So how does he now hope to achieve this end? By persuading the Army to mount a Thailand-style coup, perhaps??:cheesy:

You're missing the point that this man truly believes himself a respected voice in the UK !

I find it quite funny, whilst fervently hoping that he eventually realises that he's hated - and that his opinions are off-putting rather than his belief that it bolsters the remain cause!

When Tony Blair and George Soros join forces to urge you to do something, the most prudent course of action is to do precisely the opposite. They are, to borrow from the pithy vernacular of George Galloway, two cheeks of the same  -rse.

Back under your stones, both of you - and take your nascent globalist sidekick Trudy with you.

No idea about trudy, but agree that when the wealthy (and wanabees) advocate one course of action - it's unlikely to be to the benefit of everyone else.

But this thread is about how we all respect blair's opinion .

Maybe Tony has been listening to his wife's pillow talk too much the last few years. Also, he should be aware that extreme socialist Corbyn and his henchmen are no friend of Europe or it's vision, which is probably why they are so timid on the subject...they want out too.

Blair will be fully aware that Corbyn has no intention of calling for a second referendum.

Good job George Galloway is back under his stone.

I have been wishing for this from day one of the so-called war on WMD.  Bliar is a commensurate liar and should be behind bars - do not know how he has managed to stay out for so long.

Neither do I understand how he has not been asassinated yet.

He did so much damage to the UK, both at home and abroad,  in all spheres.  I am unable to heap enough vitriol on his pathetic head to describe the total antipathy I feel towards this apology for a so-called human being.

Thinly-veiled invitation to violence (para 2)

there's a story today in The Times that Blair warned Trump that Obama had requested GCHQ to spy on him in the run up to last years election.  This is the kind of crap Tony is famous for, sucking up to anyone who will support his personal ambitions. As soon as you have reached your Use by Date, Tony hasn't got the time of day for you.

Yes, I am actually a brickie and I did understand your post about democracy and my post back was meant to state that your post made an incomparable comparison .

Try sticking to the subject rather than using incomparables

BTW, can you lay bricks ? Read plans , uses profiles , get corners up to gauge , DPC , weep holes , staff blues and lay them fast enough to make money ?

Its not as easy as it looks

My problem with bricklayers etc is not the work they do.

On the contrary.

All work is equal - as socialists would say.

My problem is with their inferiority complex that makes them very unpleasant people. They always feel attacked, victimised. Not much different from snotty university types with superiority complexes really.

And I still don't think that you understand what I said about democracy: 50% +1 deciding over 50% -1 is NOT democracy.

What was my "incomparable comparison"? Do explain please.

Neither will Corbyn have any intention to call Blair when he forms the next UK government.

Anyway, the matter has been settled.

The Uk will remain, but against payment of a substantial sum of real money (euros), the brexiteers wll be allowed to call it "brexit".

Thais do not have the monopoly on FACE.

How many bricklayers do you know, to come to that conclusion ?

Physically working all day, earning alot of money, being self employed tend to give Brickies quite a lot of self confidence and they tend to be able to defend themselves

I know lots of people who do fysical work.

As a matter of fact I come from a post office workers family, and was the first one ever to go to university.

But you seem to confuse 2 types of fysical laborers.

The ones that are (self) employed and the ones that are too lazy / desinterested to be their own boss, and would rather be on the dole than take initiative.

You're posting misinformation, it is speculative, not a proven fact, from a book written by Michael Wolff.

Really? More a case of spitting the dummy out because the vote didn't go your way, I would have thought.

No.

It’s someone expressing their view and desires.

Something brexiteers have a problem with for some reason.

Even more bizarre when it is calling for the same thing the arch brexiteer, farage, said would be necessary, if there was a close vote.
