Heavyweight in the On Nut street fight - mum says he's a lovely boy really!

The drama of the week - a fight in a Bangkok street between a man in a suit and another motorcyclist - took on some new twists yesterday.

 

The heavyweight in the fight - Danuphol Warong - yesterday turned himself in to Phrakhanong police.

 

He wouldn't speak to reporters after a three hour grilling by cops so Thai Rath went to his home in Sukhumvit Soi 81 where they found his mother and elder sister in law.

 

Mum told them that her son was a really lovely boy who usually speaks very nicely. She did concede that he is occasionally rather hot headed, however.

 

Back at the police station the cops said that it was unclear whether Danuphol had collided with the Benz. He claimed that the Benz had gone over his foot making him cross causing him to come out with a string of expletives.

 

It was this that caused the lightweight man in the dapper suit to take offence and square up to him in the street.

 

The cops fined Danuphol 1,000 baht for not wearing a helmet, allowing a passenger on his bike to not wear one either and not having plates.

 

No charges have yet been laid regarding the possible damage to the Benz or the assault.

 

Cops are waiting for the mystery man in the suit and the Benz driver to turn up and give evidence.

That's why i see soo many bikes without plates in BKK.
