Hello, has anyone experienced this issue?

My visa extension for marriage to Thai national was submitted end of December. The day after submission I was contacted by Immigration to schedule the home visit (mandatory each year by Pathum Thani Immigration unless we have children) and told they wanted to do it quickly so that my extension could be processed immediately.

My previous extension expired midway through January and I was given the "Under Consideration" stamp with a date one month after my application was submitted. I was told to call everyday to check if it was processed since about 10 days ago. Called everyday and told, "it's not ready yet, call tomorrow." Now, a day away from the date written on the Under Consideration stamp and they say it's still not done, but don't worry about that since it is not complete on their end it isn't an issue.

I don't like this response obviously since what I'm told by a faceless person on the phone won't mean anything if this becomes an issue. I plan to go to the office tomorrow and inquire directly, however, I thought I would ask if anyone has more information regarding the date on the stamp.

Will there be a problem if my extension is not processed by that date? Do I need to get a new date stamped? Am I being jerked around since I refused to pay the 1000 baht "home visit fee" under the table bribe which pathum thani immigratin always asks for?

Any thoughts or insights would be appreciated.

Using the search function (after the post... ooops) I see that this has been asked and answered elsewhere. Assuming nothing has changed, I am to believe that the date on the Under Consideration stamp is not an expiration as such.

Thanks to others who have answered this previously. If I have misunderstood that information please let me know.

The under consideration stamp allows you to stay until your extension is approved. The report back date is just that it is not the date the under consideration period ends.

Make sure you go to the office on the date stamped in your passport. They will either give you the extension or give you another date to report back.

They will do an a stamp with a new report back date. They stopped doing that years ago.
