Yes, I would like him to finish his first term as quickly as possible.  Don't waste time and tax payers dollars on a dog and pony impeachment attempt as they did with Clinton.  Just let things run their course and then the next celebrity can get elected.  I hear oprah may throw her hat in the ring

There's a lot about Trump to be critical of, but you should strive to keep your comments grounded in reality.

People that I despise exceedingly are those who give UNSOLICITED advice. Are you one of these types of people?

Just seemed like a cry for help, that's all.  Carry on if it helps you.  It's just that I was always taught that personal credibility is important.

When doesn't Trump lie to the America people? Who believes Trump? Anyone?

Lies and liars are the enemy of the people.

Why don't you check your source for the cost of Trump's golf trips.  Every trip to Mar-a-Lago cost $3.6 million, so Trump probably came close to Obama's eight year cost in his first year.    http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/statements/2017/apr/18/center-american-progress-action-fund/how-much-do-donald-trumps-trips-mar-lago-cost/

Of course this is pocket change compared to the $25 billion Trump wants for a wall (see-through fence) on the Mexican border.  General Patton said "Fixed fortifications are a monument to the stupidity of man."  If the wall is built, it will be a $25 billion monument to the stupidity of the United States.

Yes, however Trump might have a construction company ready/willing/ and able to take the money. His hands are dirtier than any other previous U.S. politician in history. He is totally corrupt. There is nothing he wouldn't do for money.

Who?

Oh, her.  Maybe you haven't heard, the 2016 presidential campaign is over.

Hillary and Obama.  Hillary and Obama.  Fox News doesn't want to cover any unflattering stuff about DT, but hell, then they'd have nothing to talk about, so they have to keep on about Hillary and Obama, Hillary and Obama, either that or Hillary and Obama.  Anything regarding DT that is not positive the fault of Hillary and Obama, and is outright fake news.  I saw some tabloid headlines in the US that said Obama is behind Fire and Fury.  Another tabloid said that all the Clintons were on the verge of being arrested, which they have been printing for years.

Never saw a former president talked about so much after leaving office (except for Nixon) but we can be damned sure DT will top that after his presidency.  And the doofus will brag about that too from exile or prison:  "Most infamous president of all time!  Believe me! Most infamous president of all time!  Everyone is saying..."

And I bet soon he will win another award " The Most Hated Individual in The World."

So the Democrats cheated and STILL couldnt win!!......By the way hows that Trump impeachment going??? :saai:

Care to explain how the Democrats cheated, or are you just another Trumpie throwing out false accusations and hoping they'll stick?

The investigation continues, though Republicans are trying to stop it.  Trump's approval ratings remain well below 50%.  The 2018 election is approaching.  Impeachment is proceeding as expected.

While this thread asks whether you WANT trump to finish his first term or not, for discussion purposes here are ways that any president might not finish a term:

-- Impeachment by congress and then conviction by the senate

-- Resignation due to political pressure/ legal problems / scandal, etc.

-- Resignation for actual serious health problems (other than an excuse for the real reasons)

-- Natural death in office

-- Assassination

It's important to note that IMPEACHMENT only will not remove him. It might lead to resignation, but to be forced out by impeachment, the senate must convict.

Trump will never resign. Unless it's a deal to keep him out of jail. Way too big ego to lose face by resignation. Only losers resign. That would kill him! Trump double downs on every challenge thrown his way regardless how utterly stupid his position is.

As long as he doesn't start more wars/encourage financial practices that 'domino' into other countries etc. - I don't care either way.
Good point, given he can kill us all and the entire world with the nuclear arsenal under his direct and immediate control.

Actually Mueller might already have sealed indictments against Trump and some of his supporters including members of his immediate family.  The indictments are usually remained sealed until the indicted person is arrested and appears before a judge where the indictment is unsealed and the judges makes the determination on it's validity and charges are filed.  There are many unsealed indictments in the DC court system between the time that Papadopolus was indicted and the Manafort and Gates indictments, specifically five sealed indictments just before the Manafort indictment. There could be indictments against Trump and his family and he has not unsealed them knowing that Trump would immediately use his pardon powers, and they might have nothing to do with Trump, but who knows, and with Trump's current attack plan Mueller might just push the issue on testing whether a sitting President can be indicted.

Except to tell the truth, behave ethically, and act intelligently.  He couldn't do those things for all the money in the world.

Republicans play a nasty long game re; tax cuts.

They shout about tax cuts. They pretend they're for the 'middle class' but they're really for the rich. The recent tax bill cuts the average middle class person's tax bill by $18/month, while cutting the average rich person's tax bill by thousands per month.

When it's shown the economy can't survive without a sufficient tax base, ....by that time, a Democratic administration is in power, .....so Republicans can say to their gullible followers, "You see, the Democrats can't balance the budget.  They want to increase your taxes.  They're inept.  You need us to run the country."

Incidentally, look at what Trump and his cabal want to fatten up:  Yup, the military, which is already wasting money like drunk sailors on shore leave, after 5 months at sea.

“Drunk Sailors on Shore Leave” was the name of my Highschool punk rock band. We were awful, hence the name.

You couldn't have been worse than the Sex Pistols.

BTW, I spoke with a fellow who hung out with the Sex Pistols. He said the way they got started:  The founder of the band would hang out at concerts of other rock bands.  When the gig was over, the band would go backstage to get stoned/drunk. The guy would sneak up on stage and steal all the best equipment.  When he had an apartment full of great equipment, he found some other flunkies, and they formed the Sex Pistols band.

Sorry to get off topic, but I thought it was an interesting little story for a break in all the Trump threads.

America to Reach Debt Limit a Month Early Because Tax Cuts Have Depleted Treasury

In the most predictable news imaginable, the Treasury Department has reported that the nation will run up against its $20.5 trillion borrowing limit a month sooner than previously forecast. The reason? The tax cuts passed by Congress in December mean a lot less revenue is flowing into the nation's Treasury. That means the government has to borrow more money to pay its bills.

Who could have seen this coming, besides everyone?

That may all be true, but I have a question.  If the tax plan doesn't take effect until the filing of 2018 taxes, how could that money be depended on now and therefore found to be deficient?  Are they suggesting that the difference of a single month's withholding taxes (between Jan '17 and Jan '18), paid mostly by lower and middle earners has created a shortfall? Most people were in favor of the lower, middle tax breaks. Corporations, and higher earners (non salaried) tend to pay their taxes on a quarterly basis.  That's the end of March. How would they know what those revenues will or will not be?

Here it's explained by David Stockman, the father of supply-side AKA Reaganomics.  At least he had the grace to admit, in 2008, that the theory was a failure.  But at the end of the vid in this link you'll see that he remains a GOP stalwart.
