'UK Visas and Immigration has made a decision on your visa application' email

Featured Replies

I just got the above titled email regarding my wifes UK visitor visa, does this mean she got it? This is all it said:

• UK Visas and Immigration has made a decision on your visa application. Your documents will be ready for collection soon.
• If you paid an additional courier or postage fee, your documents will be sent to you.
• Please read all the following information carefully:

THAILAND APPLICANTS:

- You will be able to collect your documents from the same Visa Application Centre where you submitted your application 2 working days after you receive this email.
- If you have paid for the Super Priority Visa your documents will be ready for collection in Bangkok 24 hours after submission (excluding weekend days and public holidays).
- Collection times and holidays: http://www.vfsglobal.co.uk/thailand/applicationcentre.html and www.vfsglobal.co.uk/thailand/public_holidays.html

she has been before actually but last time the process was a bit different as I recall and the passport was posted back to us with the visa in...

Unfortunately not.  You won't know until you open the envelope and look in the passport, or see a letter explaining why the visa has not been given.
