This week:-

Computer UPS decided it needed new batteries.

Desktop PC CPU cooler stopped.

Outside light sensor stopped sensing (sometimes).

Two LED floodlights failed within an hour.

The big (3HP) water pump had trouble starting.

And finally.

Whilst cleaning the pool this morning the pump decided to stop.

Grrrr.

This is why the water pump went "bzzzzz", one of two 32.5uF capacitors (it actually starts on the other capacitor now the failed one is out):-

On an unrelated tack, our male Chihuahua drew blood (mine) whilst trying to give him his worming pill. Wifey just hid it inside a bit of chicken, gone in one gulp.

Yeah, I reckon it had been brewing for a while, it's not the sort of thing you check on a regular basis.

The dog has just decided he loves me again, laying at my feet, still flashing an occasional "gotcha" look.

The "repaired" pool pump failed catastrophically yesterday, locked solid with power on even with the cap removed it won't spin start (it won't spin). I suspect a shorted turn caused by it cooking when the cap failed.

Running on the spare pump, undersized but at least it's circulating.

New pump on order.
