Where should I look for accommodation?

Hi,

Β

Last time I was in Chiang Mai I noticed that as soon as you get out of town it doesn't seem nearly so hot. Even if you just go half way to Doi Suthep it seems much cooler. I would really like to base myself on the north side of town, and I realise the ground there is not that much higher, but is there anywhere that is on a sawng thaaeo route within say 20 minutes of town where the temperatures are that little bit lower and there are places to rent? The north side would be best, as I say, but it could be in any direction really - would appreciate any leads.
