Zolpidem (Dactive)???

Featured Replies

OK I know what ambien and stillnox is but I was prescribed this one, googled it, nada.

What does the Dactive mean or is it a misspelling of deactive (I lost the box?)

What is going on here, what is this about please and thank you.

Zolpidem is the generic name for Ambien, that's the name of the drug. It's not an antihistimine. There are a lot of generic manufacturers. Dactive is the generic manufacturer's brand name for their version. The manufacturer is apparently Zydus (Neuro).  http://www.drugsupdate.com/brand/generic/Zolpidem/4270

Thanks for that but I am puzzled that it was prescribed to him as it does not appear to be registered for sale in Thailand.

OP if you purchased this over the counter somehow be aware it is a strictly controlled substance in Thailand.

It is a psychotropic Category II. Penalty for illegal possession is imprisonment 1-5 years and a fine of 20,000-100,000 Baht.
