Two Chinese tourists drowned, two others were injured and the fifth went missing after they went to swim in the sea in front of a beach hotel in Thai Muang district of Phang-nga province Friday night (Feb 23).

Police said the five tourists were part of a 29-member tour group of Yong Rern Hong Travel Company who came from Phuket to stay overnight in Thai Muang district.

In the evening, the five tourists went to swim in the sea in front of Dusit Hot Spring Beach Resort and Spa despite a warning from their tour guide because of the rough sea.

A lot of people for some reason think they are immune to danger whilst on holiday. I would take an idle guess at the later rather than the former in the above post.

Third world people has very little safety sense.

Even though the economy has expended 20 times since the 1980 economic reform,

but an average mainland Chinese is still third world in and out.

I especially like the photo of the red flag out in front of a dead calm sea...

At one stage, the Chinese were thinking of changing traffic lights so that RED means to proceed.

Maybe red flags indicate some other meaning to the Chinese.

Asians in general have below average swimming abilities...program intervention needs to start there with a free swimming lesson for everyone and a Chinese buffet...but not vice versa...
