Alfie. Without wishing to sound like a sanctimonious prat more than I usually am mate, Arsene Wenger has given the EPL some of the best football the EPL have ever seen.

Plimsolls may be getting a bit grey and worn but the geezer can still do it.

Respect.

Cheers. AVB doing great too.

i havn't said a word about Wenger facepalm.giffacepalm.giffacepalm.giffacepalm.giffacepalm.giffacepalm.giffacepalm.giffacepalm.giffacepalm.gif

Sorry Alfie.

I must have got the wrong end of the stick. I saw a couple of posts about Arsenal's method and thought Arsene might be involved somehow.

Foolish maybe.

BTW. Giroud will score goals, Ramsey will score goals, Ozil will score goals.

And if Ozil wanted to, and if it were legal, he'd put Arsene Wenger in a scoring position from the dugout.

He probably will.

Fully understood Ian and Alf. No disrespect.

Looking forward to Ozil spotting a prawn sandwich in the dark and the prawn scoring though.

Jogo Bonito.

Don't normally watch League Cup matches - not my bag. Would like to see tonight's though if Bendtner is going to get a game for the first time in two years. Let's test out Single Pot's assertion that Ozil can put even a prawn sandwich in on goal. Can he do it for a Danish prawn with a whale size misplaced ego though.

Will be interesting to see Arsenal fan reactions to Bendtner also.

Regrettably the Red derby will be pasted all over the Sport Bar screens of Leeds tonight, chances of seeing the Gunners are negligible. D_mn, why did I not think to drive down to the Hawthorns and buy my way in. Oh yes, I forgot, I 've sold my car. Double d_mn facepalm.gif

Pretty much the C team tonight. Squeaked by on penalties. BBC highlights just as much a waste of space as the competition itself. More training nights for the youngsters ahead is a nice bonus.

Please continue to regard getting at least fourth spot as higher priority than getting just any (completely meaningless) trophy please Mr Wenger!

Edit: Just spotted we have drawn Chelsea next. I guess London pride will demand that he takes the next one a bit more seriously.

Excuse my ignorance gents but am i right in saying that Ozil, Wiltshire and Carzola best position is the central position of the attacking midfield three ?

No.

Because that implies that we play three in midfield. Which we don't.

Ok i will re-phrase the question as it obviously got you stumped laugh.png

Is Ozil's best position the centre of the attacking midfield three ? taking into account you play 4-2-3-1

Is Wiltshire's best position the centre of the attacking midfield three ?

Is Carzola's best position the centre of the attacking midfield three ?

One word answers will suffice !

At last got one bit answered smile.png

Arsenal Performance Analysis Vs Stoke

III. Jack Wilshere:

Jack Wilshere is yet to find his best form this season. Arséne Wenger is persisting with him like he did with Ramsey last season. Being a target of the opposition in all games, Jack knows that he is gonna take a lot of knocks every week. He never sighs away from getting into a duel, Aerial, Ground and even Verbal.

Playing out of his preferred position,

Playing out of his preferred position,

Wilshere ain't a 1/5th of the player Ozil is. He'll have to adjust. I don't think he's even half the player Cazorla is. Massively overrated, at least for the time being.coffee1.gif

No doubt Wilshere likes being in the thick of things as opposed to playing on the wing.

But Inside Right or Left is not out of his "preferred position".

You're asking about players in a mythical formation. I have no idea what you are on about, The Arsenal midfield and forward line rotate all the time, there are no hard and fast static positions

I saw a quote from somebody yesterday which went something like this:

"Ferguson's system was rigid but effective. Moyes' system is ineffective and dull."

True?

Ozil turns up at the Emirates and makes an immediate impact. Why? Because he's a classy footballer.

Rooney would do the same at Chelsea given a chance.

RVP will get fed up with Moyes' mediocrity.

Ajax 70 will return.

Moyes will be left out of his depth.

It's a philosophy that Wenger first used with Vieira and Petit.

If you look at Ozil, Cazorla, Wilshere and Rosicky, any one of them can play anywhere in the centre of the park, or if you like the old inside left and right positions, although none of them are particularly defensive minded; Arteta and Ramsey are better in front of the back line.

But as you might have noticed, even Ramsey isn't bothered about getting forward into the attack; you might not have noticed someone dropping back to cover when he does so.

I think Wenger is a great fan of that brilliant Ajax football of the 70's.

Portuguese waiters are quite respectable, though I know they get their fair share of fun!

French maids are altogether different and have been known to take tips for extracurricular activities so I am led to believe.

Jose Mourinho said today he will play his Under-21s team in the Capital One Cup against Arsenal in protest at the Football League’s scheduling of Chelsea’s fourth round tie two days after his club’s Premier League clash with Manchester City.

Yeah right.

But if he does, I wouldn't blame him.

Wouldn't surprise me at all. He can thumb his nose at the schedule makers, get out of a competition he wants no part of anyway, and not take a chance of getting beat with his A or B squad. Its got Mourinho written all over it.thumbsup.gif

You did. Wenger uses the league cup for the youngsters, always has done.

I think Mourinho's trying a bit of mind games is all..

Oh really! I'm sure he's been fielding much stronger sides the last couple of seasons. Maybe even the last three or four seasons. He knows its your only realistic chance of silverware.......other than his imaginary "top four" cup of course

Only in the semis.

And do tell me how you might feel about getting "top four". I know we take it for granted, but for a small club like yourselves, it would be a great achievement.
