Oh really! I'm sure he's been fielding much stronger sides the last couple of seasons. Maybe even the last three or four seasons. He knows its your only realistic chance of silverware.......other than his imaginary "top four" cup of course

biggrin.png

Only in the semis.

And do tell me how you might feel about getting "top four". I know we take it for granted, but for a small club like yourselves, it would be a great achievement.

Great to hear that you can take for granted that single point or that last fixturevictory to scrap in by the skin of your teeth!

<deleted> me you lot are so way above your station for an also ran team with a pretty stadium.

Just think when we have ours in five years and it being filled with proper passionate football fans as opposed to your plastic crowd.wink.png

Beat me to it Carms!....lol. Arse would have a good chance of winning the league cup, but alas they have have the Chavs in the next round.... Love to see your 3rd team against them......

Please learn to quote.

Huh? Bit early for the Sid ain't it Chicky?

No, it's just impossible to work out the conversation, so I don't bother reading if people can't do something that farkin simple.

16 years on the bounce, carmine, if it was that easy how come your pub team has managed it....., er........ once?

And I wouldn't lecture me about crowd support, now you've spent so much money you have more than a few nailbiters of your own, I can hear them clenching.

You know, the tiny totts motto used to be "there's always next year", now it's gone to "there's always five years time".

2-1 today I reckon Chicog, Swansea on a good run and you've got few injuries haven't you?

You're right, I had us to win 3-1, the injuries obviously didn't help.

biggrin.png

That's what I call a good day at the office. If I didn't have to work tomorrow I'd be out on the lash now.

arsenal are looking pretty strong and savvy so far. good win that.

once again Wenger cops a belting in the summer window and 6 weeks later he's top of the pile, great manager

watched their match with an arsenal mate who summed it up spot on. when they'd 'only' signed flamini for free wenger was an unambitious knobhead. then he got ozil and he's great again. they've a good squad. and the smartest manager in the league.

Many would panic and buy anyone over the odds to please, although pulling out Ozil was jackpot timing. I don't know why Arsenal fans ever doubt him. I guess the frustration of having the cash and not spending it pisses them off and they expect Wenger to sort it. Behind close doors it ain't that simple, but he is at the front line and has to wear it.

familiarity/contempt i suppose. or boredom. and they haven't won a cup or trophy for years either, so i understand their frustration. but they should have given him the benefit of the doubt, he's certainly earned it. friend chicog on here was spot on about their money stuff, they've been biding their time and managing the club well. then they lash 42m at ozil. doubting of wenger only comes from boredom i think, he's too good for anything else.

Aaron Ramsey needs a drug test.

Yes, this seasons transformation from carthorse to goal scoring, matching winning midfield dynamo is quite starling isn't it!!!

BIggest test so far comes against Napoli. They've looked pretty impressive every time I've seen them.

Agreed, no need to get all excited this early, but it's going better than I thought. Still think we need a couple of good purchases in January, but we also have some really good players to bring back.

Yes Benitez is doing a great job.

Regarding Flamini, Wenger was quoted as saying in the summer "the only problem with Flamini is that he didn't cost 25million".

I have said that Wenger is a great manager many times on this thread and even against the illogical thoughts of a few gunners on here, now you are seeing the fruits of his experience and know-how.

Where is Miggsy btw in these lofty times ?

The guy is oozing confidence. At times last year he looked lost, now he's the next <deleted> Messi.

Wilshere's the one who looks lost. He doesn't look fit, he doesn't look happy, and he doesn't look like he's capable of following the manager's instructions.

I would be tempted to rest him in the CL and use him in the games against carthorse teams. We really don't need him right now with Arteta back.

Wilshere needs a career/talent re-evaluation after having his head blown up by the Brit press. I believe he could end up being a decent footballer if he gets his head right. If not...a frustrated footnote.

He's sulking because Ozale has taken over his mantle and his position !

In fairness you played <deleted> against Swansea and exposed yourselves as really second tier within the premiership. You are nowhere near the quality displayed at he Lane yesterday, and by January you will be asking for Arsene's balls, which will be hilarious if he really is signing a new contract. Ozil quality ... That's a frekking laugh...... Spliffy Mesut, sounds like that sad <deleted> in Eastenders 30 years ago

and after your own spending spree ain't it a shame that you haven't found anyone to take over monkey boy's contribution to the side, let alone the amount of goals he scored. biggrin.png
