Galvanized Finishing Nails

Around here you can get galvanized nails sometimes....usually though they don't have them....at least not the sizes that I want. Ask around if they ever have them...sometimes they call them "white nails". If you find some then buy enough for your entire project because at least around here when you go back to buy more they will be gone.

So would that be "tapu khao"? Are the ones you've seen finishing nails or boc/common?

My workers say "tapu see khao". I used finish nails....in Thai they are called furniture nails..."tapu fooniture"....or something like that. I don't know what your plans are but it seems that finishing nails can be used here for decking for good quality wood because the wood will be so hard that even the small head from the finishing nail will be enough to hold the wood in place.

Has anyone ever seen galvanized nails for sale in Thailand and if so where? I want to use them for nailing down deck boards.

Galvanized is difficult to get hold of for some reason. Stainless screws are easier to find, a bit more expensive but makes it easier to make future repairs.
