April 10, 20187 yr I'm hoping to find a good massage therapist if anyone has a recommendation. Stretched/pulled a quad two weeks ago, and despite doing some stretching on my own there has been very little improvement. Time to bite the bullet and spend some money. Thanks for any advise !
April 14, 20187 yr Author Bump. I can remember a few years back there was little talk of top notch massage therapists. Looks like things haven't changed much. Ironic that with so many massage joints around, it is nearly impossible to find the well trained ones.
April 14, 20187 yr If you are in Bangkok, try https://www.remedialmassagethailand.com/ Haven't been myself but some TV members have given favorabel feedback My own go-to person for this sort of thing is in Phnom Penh, a Japanese trained Khmer man who does Shiatsu and Japanese Ammo massage.

April 15, 20187 yr Sheryl if you see a Dr. at Chula for a sports injury ( for me it's from running ) can that Dr. prescribe massage at hospital given by a real skilled massage therapist who works at Chula hospital so one can avoid the risk of the hit and miss experiences all over Bangkok from the so called massage therapists ? April 16, 20187 yr At any hospital a doctor can prescribe massage but he will not give any details in the order nor be able to specify which masseure you get. However all the masseurs working in Thai hospitals have had real training. Sent from my SM-J701F using Thailand Forum - Thaivisa mobile app
April 16, 20187 yr Thanks so how would you get appointment/session with masseuse at Chula for example ? Do you have any suggestions for a person to ask for or specific hospital to go to ? Seems like if s hospital has massage available it would be much safer and better quality than going to places on the street but I have no idea . Sent from my iPhone using Thaivisa Connect
April 17, 20187 yr Just ask at the main OPD counter and they will tell you what floor/building. in many hospitals they will only accept you if you have a doctor's order - which can be given by any doctor, just a one line note. St Louis has thsi too, one of the upper floors, I forget which. Appointments are usually necessary. And yes, much better than going to a place on the street.
April 17, 20187 yr Thank you Sheryl and I will start a thread as I investigate this and get massage at hospital and document my expedition . Been here many years and wanted to wait for right situation as I saw person after person hurt here by the so called pros on the street that are in shops everywhere . Seems like too much of a real opportunity to be here and not have massage on a regular basis especially if you work out a lot but injury is real concern like in so many things one attempts to do here . You really are an asset to all of us here thank you again [emoji120]Sent from my iPhone using Thaivisa Connect
