Thai women’s soccer team finishes 4th place after losing to China

The Thai women’s soccer team was defeated by China 1-3 ending up in the 4th place of the AFC Women’s Asian Cup in Amman, Jordan, on Friday (April 20).

The two teams were held scoreless in the first half, but at the 51st minute into the second half, Li Ying scored the first goal for the Chinese team, which had never lost to Thailand in 13 previous meetings.

Then at the 56th minute, Ren Guixin headed the ball toward the net which was saved by the Thai goalkeeper, but the ball onto the leg of Wang Shanshan who slid the ball into the net.
