An anonymous thief has mailed a brick stolen from a temple and an apology joss stick set to the Ayutthaya Historical Park.

The Ayutthaya Historical Park office posted a picture of the brick with a candle and bundle of joss sticks on Wednesday morning, saying it had received them back from a thief.

The office said the brick was accompanied by a handwritten note, saying: “I have visited Wat Chaiyawatanaram. I took back home a brick, then I felt uneasy and became ill for no reason. I would like to send the brick back. I would like to apologise for my action that was committed out of my ignorance. Please be informed and accept my thanks [for help in returning the brick to its place]. PS: I enclose the joss stick and candle set for an apology rite.”

The post also warned tourists against stealing anything from any ancient or historical site, saying such an action would result in damage to the site.

Funny how nobody says anything when a Good Deed has been done.

Karma? Or just a coincidence?

Either way it was a Good Deed.

People make mistakes, it's rather rare to be able to look back and fix it instead of lying to yourself and regretting it.
