Two door pick up car insurance

Featured Replies

Hi, got the bill for this year car insurance over 28,000 baht, last year it was 17,000. It is a two year old two door revo. It is quite a jump, did leave it in to get a few scratches taken out this year. Is with MITSU insurance. Did a few online searches and some are quoting a similar price. Did something change with insurance and two door in the last year? It is still being paid off, is it to to change insurer myself?

Cheers for any help / advice

2 doors are a bigger risk than 4 doors, so higher premiums. The repairs done will lead to a raise in premiums, but others quoting the same I can't explain.

Does seem high even with a claim.

Nothing to stop you providing your own insurance, the finance company will need to approve mind. We saved a good 5k by insuring our Mu-X ourselves, paperwork with the finance company was some hassle (Wifey dealt with it).

"I don't want to know why you can't. I want to know how you can!"

Was the 17,000 cover come with the purchase deal...?

Fill out an online form in English with AA Insurance Brokers (Thailand)..See what comes up...

That's well high geezer...

We were paying anything from 14k to 18k on our Ranger, we swapped providers quite a lot...

Try Mr Prakan, just insured the 4 door p/u with them.

Speak with Mady, who I think is the office manager. She must have lived in Farangistan, as her English is perfect. Professional & straightforward.
