Dying Young

Featured Replies

Elivs was loved by so many. Yet, we all know what he became before his death. Denis Leary once made a string of jokes about this and it got me thinking. What celebs should be or should've been killed in their prime so that they would be remebered in a nice way? Just for the fun of it, how should they go? :o

Eric Clapton just after "Leyla"...

You think his current life is an embarrassment? That is what I am getting at. If these people are making fools of themselves and what not.

Another question to think about is does any celeb nowadays have a career long enough to warrant killing them young before they could ruin their image? Or do celebs nowadays have a bed image to begin with and therefore have now where to go but up?

Britney and Paris should have been offed by pizza delivery trucks years ago. That Lohan chick should be trussed and her mouth duct-taped so she doesn't make a fool of herself; I think she will develop into a good actress. Tutsi, well it's too late for anything there, but maybe we should have fixed his Harley so he could have gone out in style.

Having seen him play live (and shook the GOD's hand) at the Beachcomber Club, Lace Market, Nottingham as part of John Mayall's Bluesbreakers on November 26th, 1967 I have to disagree. I was there. The sweat was real. He is GOD.

Who do you listen to, FS? Oh ya, the Tramp Family singers, right? Doe a deer, a female deer, Ray...:o

Cindy Lauper should have been involved in a freak Jet-Ski accident just before "Girls just wanna have fun" instead of Kirsty McColl.

//edit/spolling :o

That was before Leyla, wasn't it? And yes, at that time he was outstanding indeed.

Nevertheless, he is found guilty of distributing bad versions of great JJ Cale songs, making the public believe they were his.

And may I mention the August abum, or is it just the proof that even gods may have really bad days? :o

I had sex wid Cynde Lauper and wid Janis Joplin (not at the same time)...not an H-D bike in sight,...however, there was a Sears push bike in the same room...the rear reflector lens was broken an' we had to fake emergency conditions...

OMG. you are right, Raro. He used JJ just like alot of other "stars".

I quote: Oklahoma songwriter and guitarist J.J. Cale wrote this (this being After Midnight) and released it as a demo. The first time Cale heard Clapton's version was when it came on his car radio. Clapton later recorded other Cale songs, including "Cocaine" and "I'll Make Love To You Anytime."

I love Magnolia...

Unpaid? So what do you do it for? It's such a dirty job and members hate you when you ban them. Skytrain police gestapo in Vancouver get C$40 an hour, with medical, dental and retirement plans. Oh, and free gestapo uniforms. 37 hour week.

Mick Jagger should have died in the early 70s!

nanana...now it's getting personal! :o

In the 60s the Jagger/Richards combo wrote immense music - all the way up to Exile on Main Street. Since then they have been peddling <deleted>! Rod Stewart stopped writing songs as he believes that he can't write good ones any more - same as the Rolling Stones - I have every album the stones released til Exile on Main Street - after that they do have the odd half-decent song, but surely the Stones should be better than half-decent songs?

maybe you just stopped listening ?

' sweet neo-con '

I would choose Gary Glitter to pop his clogs before his time but that's got nothing to do with his music :o
