starting new Internet Service at a condo quick question

Featured Replies

I get to back to Chiang Mai May 24th. I'll be getting a condo at Prime square. The building is already wired for Sinet and 3bb.. My question is i want service the same day i move in. Typically how far in advance do i need to contact them to setup an account and have service activated?  I try to use sinet website But the registration is completely in thai.

I presume you have a smartphone with a Thai SIM in it already?   If so I would recommend you do what I do when I first get off the plane in BKK and tether your laptop to the phone and use its data link for internet connection whilst you sort out a more permanent solution wherever you are staying.

Tethering gives you the flexibility but trying to watch TV or play games using it may be a problem as it is normally quite low speed depending on the mobile data package you buy from your supplier.

i contacted sinet on Facebook they told I can have service 1 day after I sign up for service through the condo

Prime Square next to the Grandview Hotel, down the lane from MAYA, and across from the big construction zone?  Been 3 yrs in the making so i guess you might be the first occupier.

Sorry

This building had had tenants going back 2 1/2 years

A friend rented and he was there first tenant in his Condo room

Was only 3BB until receintly

If you want faster Internet Sinet can provide

Its just a personal choice these day

Depends on you budget and requirements

Went passed there today and it sure looked empty and unfinished.  Could be 2nd building nearby is also Prime SQ.

I have heard that some like 3BB some dont in Condo max speed is too slow for me

I require the faster speed so use Sinet  in a Condo situation

My friend used to live there used 3BB as was only available  now Sinet available too

He was happy with 3BB for his requirements
