Officials Deny Massive Dog Deaths – Agree to Let Vets In

Open wounds on an emaciated dog in a photo supplied to Khaosod English purportedly taken during this past week at a Livestock Department quarantine facility in Nakhon Panom province.

 

NAKHON PHANOM — The livestock department Saturday denied the situation inside a Nakhon Phanom rabies quarantine center is as bad as represented by a dog rescue foundation.

 

Sorravis Thaneto, director general of the livestock department said Saturday he would invite the press in to see if conditions are as bad as Soi Dog Foundation has said and also allow its vets inside the facility. The foundation has said many dogs that were taken to the shelter have died due to carelessness and neglect.

Well they have had a couple days to transport the corpses out of there !!

It will smell of bleach and just have 3 healthy pooches jumping about to welcome the visitors

This Sorravis fella seems pretty good at denying and making excuses for stuff and just out of interest why can't cameras be taken in with the soi dog foundation people going in on monday. just gonna get them to help clean up before the press is invited in?

disgraceful, good on soi dog foundation on making public the hellish conditions for these beings.

 

Livestock department which is heavily influenced by cpgroup(major coup backers),pesticide and farming community who only see animals to use or kill for a profit and all other animals as pests. Just revolting that this department is in charge of animal welfare in Thailand.

 

 

People care more bout dogs with potential to kill than peoples deaths on roads. Im a dog lover. Have four of them but have no sympathy for soi dogs. Diseased discusting vermon. Its the peoples fault so if the people dont chose to take them in, vaccinate them, fence then with descent property, etc then i say shut the hell up and kill the lot or the problem has the potential to blow out. The shiddy conditions is probably better then where they came from.
