Hi,

I'm trying to sell my 14 Ranger Wildtrak 3.2 4X4 and I'm wondering if anyone knows a good Car broker? Currently It's listed on the major classifieds but not getting a lot of interest. The price is slightly high but I'm not even getting offers or questions so I think it needs to be marketed to more people. So please does anyone have any suggestions for brokers? Thank you.

What price are you asking? You probably answered your own question by admitting that your price is slightly high.... have you posted the vehicle on Bahtsold, Kaidee, Craiglist?

Expat Auto....They have a FB page & a good reputation + seem to hold out for the desired price....

Probably want to drop the price some as the Rangers seem to be weak at resale & don't generate much interest; based on casual observation....

On finance, they want a life insurance policy costing 15,000 baht - 20,000 baht <deleted>? Never been asked for this before.

That's a good, guaranteed thing for the seller + keeps the middle man clean of messy situations....

I'm asking 720 but I'm open to offers as well. Thanks for the comment and suggestions I'll visit Expat Auto this week and see what they say.

Have you tried facebook? We sold our car that way and got the price we were asking for. We used something called Chiang Mai Trading Post but there are others.

We have recent experience selling a used car. FB groups (Thai language), kaidee.com, and put a sign on the top of car and park it legally for a few hours each day in a high visibility location. We had a very good response on all 3 of them. 99.99% inquiries from Thais (only one English speaker called - a Chinese).

Nonsense, if the finance company approves the loan, there shouldn't be any more issues. Comprehensive insurance on the car will cover death and payment of the car. NO OTHER car seller asks for this, none of them. Toyota, Honda, Ford, Nissan ............ none of them. Clearly this is added commission for the seller on a life policy.

I stand corrected ............. apparently this is normal practice. Wife just told me. It was in our payments but I didn't know. Go figure. Although the amount for the policy for this company is excessive.

I have the car listed on  Kaidee, Bahtsold and Facebook. I need to list it on some Facebook groups for Thai buyers. The Language barrier is challenging but I'll figure it out. Thanks again for the many great suggestions.

When my wife (I) bought a Ford on HP, we were offered the life insurance to repay loan in case of death.  Turned it down, as I would've just paid it off with cash.

You can try the used car dealers on the 1001 Mae Jo Road if you wish. I just sold a 5 year old Vios with 85k on the clock for exactly 50% of what I paid. Inspection was absolutely minimal and they didn't even test drive the vehicle. Toyota Sure offered 40k less. Payment was by cheque and one of the staff went with us to the bank to ensure it cleared. No complaints at all.

From the Super Highway turn onto 1001 and there are several dealers couple of hundred yards up on the left.
