Not muddyl for me it isn't. As a totally gay male, no ladyboys for me and it's rude to ask a lady what's under her dress.

Not muddy for me either. A totally straight guy and no ladyboys for me either. But straight is more of an absolute than gay is wouldn't you say?

I know...it’s crazy.  The one time I went to Soi Cowboy with a friend, we decided to have a drink in the Ladyboy bar.  We were the only two customers in the place. If so many straight men want to have sex with ladyboys...where were they.   The ladyboys were totally cool with the fact that we had no interest in them sexually and just wanted to check it out.  We bought a round of drinks for all of them said cheers and afterwards went on our way.  There were no hard feelings at all.  In fact, they appreciated that two straight guys would come have a drink with them and not just look at them with disgust.

I think they were cool with it because the vast majority of LBs are entertainers, as a means of support. No 12 hours under the hot sun for 300 baht/day. Hang out with your mates, eat, drink, a little ST and 800-1500  baht/day. Word gets around between friends just like bar girls how easy it is. How can you explain why as a percentage LBs offering sex for $$ is so high compared to the LB population as a whole. Much, much higher than female prostitutes from the female population. Maybe we can deep 6 this worn out thread for a poll " What percent of Lady Boys do it strictly for the money ?"

Absolutely NOT.

Agreed.  And when I say “muddy”, I’m referring to the so called “straight” guys that are interested/curious/desirious of sex with the “third gender” as it has been referred to in Thailand (by Thais)

WRT any absolutes, I found out about it when I had my first real job at the GAP in Beverly Hills in the 80s.  I was one of 3 guys out of 17 that weren’t gay.  The manager who was gay would drive me home after work and had no issues with my direct questions.  He was actually “disgusted” (his words) with some of the gay guys there as he felt that “they gave gay men a bad name”.  Again, his words. Perhaps that was just a sign of the times?  Who knows...doesn’t matter to me.  But when it comes to an exclusive sexual preference, I don’t consider a “textbook” straight guy (open minded or not) to be a person that is into ladyboys...shades of grey.  I’d be willing to bet that those who feel the need to show their disgust for ladyboys are quite possibly the ones who secretly question their own position on the “spectrum”.  I think that if they sat down and talked to some they would realize that they are not all alike.  My friends ladyboy girlfriend was like a conservative woman.  Had a government job.  Some of the ladyboys I have met in bars were some of the most hilarious people I have ever met here in Thailand.

In the case of LB sex workers, if their plan was only to cash in on gay men, they would have stayed as dudes. Nope. The audience is mostly straight identified men.

Actually, knowing some people who have worked in the P4P industry, there are those that are only doing it for the money.  I also know a straight Thai guy (married with kids) who goes to the gay bars and is the “top” for gay men.  He won’t even touch their d***.  Needs to take viagra and watch porn on his cell phone before he ****s them.  He’s pretty open about it with me because he knows I don’t judge him.  It’s all about money for him too.   There are also Thai guys who are the gigolos for the bar girls.

The audience is bisexual men. I think we have to draw a line here. If 10% of the population identify themselves as 100% gay , maybe we can add another 10% who consider themselves straight but like to experiment sexually , and have no problems to have sex with both females and men.
With that in mind , I would say that a 110% hetero would never have sex with a LB unless very drunk or the girl had a sex change and removed the penis.

A straight bisexual wouldnt mind a penis even if his emotions for the LB is straight and not gay. I hope that is clear. No we can all chill out.

And the majority of bar girls doing bar fines are far from  sex addicts, many not really liking it at all, having to drink and do drugs to cope. All in a days work. Same for LB, most likely to a greater extent.  Hate to piss on your fantasy  but the majority of BARGIRL/LB/TG/GAY/LESBIAN/OTHER that are 25 years old are not even remotely turned on having sex with 60 year old bald, over weight men. That's why they call them sex workers. If money was not involved it wouldn't be taking place. The reason I am grasping the obvious here is all this talk of this gender seeking this and that gender seeking that and what they find sexually attractive is not at all relevant in the scenario played out in Pattaya. It's all about supply and demand, bring a product to market, supplying a need. It's about money !

Now it all may mean something if you discuss folks in the same general age group but that is rarely the case here with farang.

Spot on, I totally agree with you. The ones who talk about it mostly in a negative way, seem to be the ones who have their Xhamster account where they're dressed up as Sissies and perhaps have their own Mistresses. :vampire:

I'd even go further and call the super heterosexual guys who make statements that they watch porn when a couple or more than one couple has sex, they never look at the men's thingy, as liars. How can you not see a man's thingy when a couple has sex?  The ones who fancy gay porn and perhaps are involved, in somehow bisexual, or gay sex, but the etiquette in society for such a tough guy doesn't allow it to be honest.

I'm only wondering who all these guys are who frequently go to gay bars, but when sitting there with their mates, they always come up with gay jokes even if there's no reason for it. " The "bend down, ha ha ha joke" comes to mind. :passifier:

We're living in the 21st century and I don't really care if a girl loves a girl, or a man loves men and girls. It's just not my business and I don't gossip about people who are different than I am. People can have sex with ponies, or donkeys and I just don't want to know it what they are up to because I'm not interested.

I know a couple, a foreigner with his Thai wife, who is always looking for a few guys where the guy can watch them screwing( sorry!) his wife. And from what I've heard there are certain websites where these people can easily get together. I said thanks, not interested, not my pair of shoes, neither my wife's. Regarding this couple, these people exist in almost all provinces in Thailand, and it's not down to a specific nationality. ( I can't prove it with a link, sorry)

It's sad that some people just talk bad about gay people and ladyboy lover, but at the same time, they fancy some weird rape fantasy stuff done by a man, or several men, without wanting to go into details. What a weird world we're living in. :wai:

I don't buy it. I think some of the audience for LBs identifies as bi. But still mostly straight with a tiny percentage gay.

Yup.  It’s not much different than all the Thai Visa virtue signallers who express their outrage at whatever “injustice de jour”.  There was an interesting study on that....

http://reason.com/blog/2017/03/01/moral-outrage-is-self-serving

Personally, I think that those that scream the loudest are usually hiding some sort of deep, dark, ugly secret and if they can feign outrage or disgust with others actions, it helps to hide their own guilty conscience from themselves and whoever else.

This tread starts to be to complicated and spinn around the same issues for 30 pages soon, so I guess I call it a day an done with it.

But one thing, I get outraged against children abuse, women abuse, children who is victims in crimes, victim of war, and victim of parents stupidity. It doesnt make me an abuser because I have strong feelings and empaty for children or people who is victims. Important to remember when you discussing that kind of abuse, crime and pedophilia.

Yes of course. Nothing surprising there. Gay for pay goes back to ancient times. Some gay men specifically are seeking straight men. In some odd cases exclusively. In mainstream Filipino gay culture, gay men are constantly looking for a "REAL MAN" meaning a straight man. and would see sleeping with other gay men almost like incest. Why you might ask would a straight man fall in love with a gay man? Sometimes cultural norms make no sense at all!  News flash to you though -- gay for pay guys aren't always exclusively tops.

A homophobe is a person who hates or is afraid of homosexuals or treats them badly.

So why are you so adamant that ladyboys aren't a gay thing but a straight thing. It seems to me you have a strong definition of gay, but straight is looser term.

I'm not following your line of thought on that but I don't find it interesting either.

But I will say AGAIN, a lot of this is about how the person PRESENTS gender-wise and it's not all about the genitals (existing or previous).

Sex acts and genitals are NOT the same thing as sexual orientation identification.

We just had another good example. Gay for pay guys. They're straight but having lots of gay sex (hopefully anyway for their bank account).

I never said they were exclusively tops.  I was just pointing out the fact that some will go against their biological imperative (for lack of a better term) just for the money.  I was only using my friend as an example of that.  It’s the same with some of the ladyboys.  Some actually aren’t “women in men’s bodies” and only have chosen to become one and “present themselves as a female” as it can be quite lucrative.  It obviously works better for the ones that already have more feminine looking faces.  Granted, these aren’t the ones that have gone under the knife in any way shape or form.

WRT the gay men seeking out straight men, gay friends of mine have told me about this.  I can’t remember the term that they used for it.  They (my gay friends) also felt that it was disrespectful for them to do so in the same way that it is disrespectful for a straight guy trying to force himself (figuratively, not literally) on a beautiful lesbian.

I wasn't suggest any kind of force. Geez!

In any case, the Filipino thing seems to more of a fatalistic DON QUIXOTE type thing. It's a ROMANTIC cultural ideal, not to be realized.

Because a "real" straight man is pretty much never going to fall in love with a cisgender gay man, and if he did, he would no longer be a "real" man in the cultural ideal. Obviously not all individuals are following that cultural phenom literally.

My sincere thanks, you're input is quite enlightening. Have to admit not a subject I have explored to any depth but I have always backed the idea each to his own up until it infringes on another persons rights. Bashing somebodies gender and pushing ones gender over another should always be avoided. Ignorance that comes into play is natural but the insight you present I think is very helpful in acceptance. Even the input of the clueless and bias helps explain the way things are.
