Does anyone use a pre-filter to their home water supply that they can recommend.

Our village water has considerable sedimentation most of the year, but is particularly bad during the rainy season.  I'd like a purchase a pre-filter for the house.  Just wondering if someone who currently has one can make a recommendation (make, model, cost, where to purchase).  I'm not looking to make the water drinkable, I just want the heavier suspended sediments filtered out.  Thanks!

I have the same problem with our village water. I installed two filters one where the village supply goes into my holding tank and another on the supply to the washing machine. The first mentioned filter is black every month and has contained birds feathers as well as the usual mud, but then the  water is dirt cheap at at 6 baht/ 1000 litres.

 

I used these filters from LAZADA and also replacement filters from them as well.
