Can anyone fill me in about hotels or guesthouses in the city of Prasart in Surin province? Difficult to find any on the search engines. Or maybe I missed it somehow. Many thanks for some feedback about this.

Booking.com is showing 22 proprieties in Surin and 4 in Prasat. I guess it depends on what dates you are looking at.

Don't have my own transport so only option would be by bus. Yes, Prasart near Surin city.

Last month I had some business in Prasart.  Like you, I had no vehicle. I have been there many times, and can say with confidence there is nothing within walking distance of the bus station. There are places on the edges of town; you would be at the mercy of the motorcycle taxi guys to get you there and back.

I decided to stay in Surin which is half an hour away.  If you want hotel recommendations that are within walking distance of the Surin bus station, reply here, or click on my name and send me a Private Mail.

Prasat, try dropping the other R when searching - if you have not gone yet.

 

A number of decent places to stay, but without transportation it gets down to one that I know of

Don't count on the resort looking like the photos, it does not - but you can see it is walking distance from the bus station.

 

For other choices, need to book a songtaew or rent a vehicle of some fashion.
