Popular Pang Ung campsite closed during June

By The Nation

The popular Pang Ung campsite in Mae Hong Song will be closed for this month to allow the natural environment to regenerate during the rainy season, an official said on Saturday.

Werachai Mongkoltham, chief of the Tham Pla-Nam Tok Pha Sua National Park in Mae Hong Son’s Muang district said the park’s Pang Ung area, popularly known as Ban Ruam Thai village, was closed on June 1 and would remain closed until the end of this month to allow for natural regeneration.

He said other parts of the park will remain open.
