‘Jilted’ factory worker shoots video hanging himself

By The Nation

A factory worker used his mobile phone to shoot a video clip of his suicide in his rented room in Chon Buri province.

Police said a video clip on the mobile phone of Direk Lamkham, 32, from Sakon Nakhon, showed that he had hanged himself on Thursday night.

The Muang Chon Buri Police Station was alerted to the suicide at 10.30pm by his friend and superior, Somnuek Kaewmon, 46.

Somnuek said Direk did not go to work on Sunday so he visited him at night and found that he had committed suicide.

Somnuek said Direk was heartbroken after his girlfriend left him two months ago. He said he had tried to console Direk.

The clip showed Direk apologising and saying goodbye to his parents. He then placed his phone on the floor. He was seen walking to a spot where he made a noose with a black power cable and placed it around his neck and dropped himself down. Although his feet were still on the floor, the man was seen struggling, trying to loosen the noose but it was too late.

Gotta give him credit for not taking a gun or an axe to express his eternal love for her, as seen in stories through last week.

RIP looks like  a new way to give the police your final moments..
