UK Pounds

Is anyone aware of a bank or money changer in Chiang Mai that has Pounds on hand, I need to buy £4k at fairly short notice?

 

My bank wants a few days to collect that sort of volume from branches, another bank I visited today would need to get it sent up from Bangkok.

 

This is NOT about the best exchange rate, this is about the availability of Pounds, in Chiang Mai.

You could try Super Rich on Loikroh Rd.

 Depends who has just done a transaction.

But the best places I have are, in order. 1. SK Money exchange near the Iron bridge. 2. Super rich, just up from Loi Kroh Soi 1 as already suggested. And the other place that has a vast turn over that I have noticed is the one between Starbucks and Boots at Thapae gate.

 

SK seems to be the one that does the biggest transactions and u can reserve if they have it: SK Money: 053273208

Super Rich also has an outlet directly opposite SK at the Iron Bridge.

Try the two money exchangers on Loi Kroh Road, they handle large volume of transactions everyday.

 

As already suggested, Super Rich and another one on same road within 5 mins walk from each other.
