Pain In Bum Pop Up

Featured Replies

have just installed IE7, came in as an update

now I get this window popping up every time a page loads saying " a script accessing some software bla bla" and they are saying its an activex control

how can I rid myself of this problem, please help

I recommend using Firefox, I got tired of this kind of thing using IE so I switched and haven't looked back. I find it a lot more user friendly.

I'm going to assume the setting changes are done the same as IE 6 since I don't have 7. Under Tools > Internet Options > Security select the Internet Icon and click on Custom Level. You will find a choice "Automatic prompting for ActiveX controls" normally it is disabled, if not then click on the disable button. Further more down the window will be a few more choices to handle ActiveX such as signed/unsigned etc.
