As far as I know, the only alternative is Dreamsat/Jsat...

You pay once up front for the equipment and the programmes (star world etc) come in via Philippine/Malaysia etc.

They quoted me 18000 Baht for the Malaysia service.

The problem is that the signal is scrambled on a regular basis, so now and then you lose the programmes until the jsat people update the software - can be a pain waiting.

Also, if you are looking for EPL matches, the Philippines don't show too many.

I've just reluctantly signed up with Truevisions (UBC) - I just hope the TV service is better than True internet...
