If you had to leave LOS permanently, what would you miss?

I wouldn't know what I missed until I returned home. After 15 years away I've forgotten what life at home is like, and it has changed a lot since I left.

 

There is one obvious miss. 7Elevens and other 24-hour convenience stores on every block. These are a godsend for a night owl.

Amazing how many would miss the bum gun. When I returned home, I knew I would not be able to live without my BG, but wasn't sure how I would be able to get one installed as I didn't know where I would end up. So in the interim, as I mentioned in an earlier post, I bought portable bum guns of the variety shown below. Ahhh, bliss ... I feel human again. You can buy these on ... (you know where, Mr Ma) --  search for "portable hygiene sprayer".

I would miss loads, and I did when we moved to England for two years recently.

 

• Having a great pool and gym right where we live
• Going out to different restaurants all the time
• Going to the cinema cheaply
• Cheap shopping and electrical items
• Definitely the bum gun (we tried to have one fitted in England but couldn't do it)
• Buying an iced coffee and fresh fruit EVERY DAY for next to nothing
• Regular holidays
• The cool season
• Seeing attractive women every day
• Wearing shorts and t shirts outside of work all year round (I can't remember the last time I wore jeans)
• Watching English football on a Saturday night

There will be loads more too that I can't remember right now.

We inquired with quite a few plumbers but couldn't do it. The water temperature was the main issue.
