My wife's daughter is starting 7th grade at a government school in Nong Chok area.  She claims that the FIRST semester expenses are about 18000 Baht and the breakdown is  as follows.  To me, if you are not "middle class", I can't imagine Thai parents sending their children to even Seventh grade!! and that's a sad commentary on that country.  Any personal experience of someone on the validity of these expenses strictly for Bangkok area would be much appreciated.

-  Orientation = 3000 Baht.

- Tuition = 4000 Baht.

-  School Uniforms = 5000 Baht

-  School Backpack = 500 Baht

-  Insurance  = 500 Baht (for medical)

-  Books & Accessories = 2000 Baht

-  Parents Club = 1000 Baht

-  Computer Class = 2000 Baht

Hello Juan,

i dont know what the costs are unfortunately. Do you or anyone have an

idea what 7th education in Thailand in comparison to 7th grade in US or EU.

Equal by comparison? One less educated at that level?
