Cataract Surgery

Featured Replies

I am 16 years old and is diagnosed with cataract but in my hometown, Cambodia, it's hard to find a professional ophthalmologist so that's why I am going to go to Bangkok. Can someone please recommend me an ophthalmologist that is professional in treating cataracts? I heard that Rutnin is a very good eye hospital but I have no idea on which ophthalmologist I should see there.

Thanks.

I can't help with where you should go, but 16 is very young to have cataracts. Absolutely get a second opinion from a paediatric ophthalmologist.

Whoever does the procedure, they should have done a lot, and if possible talk to someone they already treated.

@Sheryl I know but in that area, the topic was about retina specialist so I felt very uncomfortable after I sent the message about cataract surgery in the area of retina specialist. I felt like I should've never done it but I didn't know how to delete the message so I decided to start a new topic and ask the question about cataract surgery. My question was at the very bottom so I thought that people wouldn't know that I asked about cataract surgery and who would think someone asked about cataract surgery in a retina specialist area. I didn't want to cause confusions I just wanted more opinions from others. I am sorry to cause confusions to you. In that area of retina specialist, I'm a newbie so I'm not sure whether I can suggest about recommending me to an ophthalmologist that is professional in treating cataract because  that area was supposed to be talking about retina. I'm new so i'm not sure how it works so that's why I only asked you whether doctor Roy Chumdermpadetsuk was good or not.
