I am residing here in Thailand on yearly retirement extensions and would like to occupy part of my time studying the Thai language.  An ED visa would therefore not be required.

In this respect, I am seeking an experienced private tutor within the Bangkok area.

Any suggestions as to whom I might contact?

I don't care about the website but about their teachers and their study material. I am currently going there and say they are good.

This website says they are good:

https://movetobangkokguide.com/best-thai-language-schools-in-bangkok/

I agree the website is unimportant if the teachers and materials are good. For anyone comparing schools, though, a website like that is not much of an advertisement. The natural thought process is, if the website is like this, what is the school itself like?

The review you quoted claims that some people can hold a wide range of conversations after studying Thai for 3 months. I'd say that is true of no more than 1% of students, so I'd also take their opinions with a large grain of salt.

But if you're there and say it's good, then that's the best advertisement any school can have.

What are their fees?

Fees depend on level and material needed, best to send them a request:

They answer pretty quick but are closed on Sundays.
