thaibeachlovers
Al J says it's over for the day, so 8 out. As I said, probably only enough air for 4 trips, but what does that mean for the coach? Another night in the cave?

Why would you put them in isolation if they are in secondary shock? Immune systems will be fine, they've been properly fed and watered for the last week. Only problem is inactivity due to being perched on a ledge for all this time. Like a bunch of caged tigers!

Please let it continue until absolute completion. But I think everyone would agree that this isn't over until the entire operation is wrapped up and all the divers and support personnel are out of the system as well. That's when I'll be happiest for sure...............
Popular Post evadgib
A spokesman for the British Cave Diving Council (in UK but in contact with his 7 strong team on site) explained on ITV this morning that they had suggested moving the fittest/healthiest kids first for a number of reasons inc allowing the remainder more time to prepare and to boost their confidence knowing others were out. He also made clear that the ultimate decision was down to the Thai Govt and medics on the ground. Edited July 9, 2018 by evadgib

Also Australian medic has been with them for the last few days. I'm sure that his priority would have been to ensure that they receive the appropriate nourishment. Kids, especially Thai kids are remarkably resilient. Lol you haven't seen the Chiang Rai hospital then. The grounds are made entirely of traffic. 1

Oxygen becomes rapidly toxic at depth – prolonged exposure to pure oxygen below a few metres can kill you. It is not an appropriate scuba tank gas mixture. Technical divers use pure oxygen on carefully-calculated decompression dives, but this is beyond the scope of recreational diving and should not be attempted. Oxygen is also highly reactive and can make other substances flammable. Safety training is necessary to work with pure oxygen. http://www.elitedivingagency.com/articles/scuba-tank-gas-mixture-divers-use/ Edited July 9, 2018 by ttrd

Look at their rules regarding simple blood donation, for example - full of completely unnecessary restrictions and (frankly pointless) precautions. And here, they are confronted with a completely new situation, quite likely with the Command Post making starkly clear that under no circumstances is anything to be allowed to go wrong now. I agree it is unnecessary but I doubt anything sinister or ulterior behind it. Very true. Unlike the public expectations of them immediately being sent happily off with parents and extended family . Given the intensity of international coverage it would be ridiculous to simply wave them goodbye into the grasp of "media" just for starters. Perhaps aside from some cautionary quarantine/ medical assessment there may be some psychological assessment/preparations. Post traumatic shock is a reality especially when considering not only the initial entrapment but the method of escape. Maybe not so unnecessary but agreed is not sinister or ulterior.

When I was young special ops used it in "closed cycle" apparatus to blow up ships or installations behind ennemi lines. Obvious benefit of this type of gear is the absence of bubbles.. I guess that our days the young ones use some more modern gear.
