New plasterboard/ gyprock ceilings. Electrical wires?

Recommended Posts

We are renovating a building for our new business. The new electrical wires have been completed and are awaiting the workers to come this week to fix up the ceilings. In my country of origin the builder would normally hang the small wires through a small hole after doing the new ceiling. The electrician said dont do this. But its dumb not to isnt it? It makes sense to have the wires poking through. What do you think?

thanks

you must insist they pull the wires through at the correct locations.

The result can be dire when the sparks return and cannot fish out the wires.

Had i not insisted, it would meant a few boards beind ripped out where they were trapped vehind steel rafters

Pull them through and make sure there is enough slack to work with.
Only a small thing to do and can save a few possible headaches later on.....

Tell them you want the wire connections through whilst they do the ceiling it is standard build procedure.

They work for you not you for them.
