They don't mention any of the negative aspects of spraying foam, I had it done to my last house, never again! Hope you are also going to insulate the ceilings and have some way of circulating the hot air that gets trapped under the roof.

Yes for sure.

I just added a 20sqmtr master bathroom.

It has a shed roof with vented eaves and a ridge vent up top for air out. Works great and a smoke test proved it.

The actual bathroom ceiling is two sheets of smart board with Roxsul insulation sandwiched in between.

The airspace between the cement board and the insulated aluminum roof ranges from 4-16 inches and eaves are vented on 3 sides. Pics if anyone wants them.

 

I’m curious as to why you had problems so I can hopefully avoid them when I do my main roof

Edit: I know “open cell” foam works best in hot climates.

Now looking at mid November for roof spray foam insulation job.

Anyone in N/E interested in more info?

Job now finishes.
I must say it was very well done and we noticed an immediate and huge difference.
No heat radiation and the cooler night air lasts a long time.
Have not needed much a/c since.
