Where to buy real sourdough in Chiang Mai?

Featured Replies

Hi,

long time reader, but first time poster.

Does anyone know where I can buy real sourdough in Chiang Mai, not the pretend sourdough which has had yeast added to it.

Thanks in advance.

There is a supplier on facebook. A search for sourdough in the groups should find it. I've never tried it but they get very good feedback. Not cheap by any means.

Well I just searched and can't find it. They used to advertise aggressively. "C.M. Bread" vendor comes up and they offer it, but I don't know if it is real sourdough they sell. 130/loaf.

Some people love Nana Bakery for sourdough.....

Isn't the weather too hot to make real sourdough? The cool weather is why San Francisco is so famous for theirs.

Was there Feb-May......Sourdough is more mass produced, commercial tasting now....Couldn't find much of any with that sour zing to it....I grew up in the area & think the days of great SF sourdough are done.....

Brought this up with a daughter & she agreed....

It was one of the things I was really looking forward to....

Nana bakery do a rye sourdough.

It's probably not true and authentic sour dough but derived from a pre-mix. But I'll be glad to be corrected.

Give it a try and let me know.
