Police are investigating the disappearance of a Suphan Buri cattle farmer whose car was found abandoned ten kilometres from his house two days ago.

Four cows are also missing.

No one knew Prasong Likhitchon, 59, had vanished from his 20-rai farm in Moo 2, Tambon Kra Krajome, Don Chedi district, until someone reported a pickup truck being left for two days in Moo 1, Tambon Nong Sarai.

The province’s Land Transport Office determined it belonged to Prasong, but police found his home empty and unlocked and his cattle undernourished.

Moo 2 village head Manas Thanthawong said Prasong lived alone and he hadn’t seen him for three days.

Manas said neighbours heard dogs barking at about 2am on Saturday and saw two pickups parked at Prasong’s farm.

Then three of Prasong’s cows were found walking along a road five kilometres from the farm and had to be herded back.

The village head counted four of Prasong’s 32 cows missing.

Police surmised that Prasong might have been kidnapped by people with whom he’d had a row or might have awakened to confront cattle thieves and been abducted.

Body of missing cattle farm owner found, teenager arrested

By The Nation

The body of Prasong Likhitchon, 59, a cattle farmer from Suphan Buri who has been missing since early Saturday has been found buried at a landfill site and a teenager has been arrested for allegedly conspiring to murder him.

Police have now launched a manhunt for the teenager’s uncle, Prasong Phophet, 46, a vendor of recyclable garbage, who is alleged to have masterminded the killing

Police arrested the 17-year-old on Wednesday and he led police to the landfill to retrieve the body.

Prasong Likhitchon lived alone at his farm in Suphan Buri's Don Chedi district and was raising 32 cows. Police learned that he went missing on Tuesday after his pickup truck was found abandoned at a remote spot about 10 kilometres away. Four of his cows were also missing.

The teenager told police that his uncle drove him to the farm at 2am Saturday to borrow money but the farmer refused to lend him the cash.

The teenager said that when the farm owner walked back inside, his uncle hit him with a stick and asked him to help drown Prasong in a small pond by the house before taking the body to the landfill to dispose of it. The two also took four of Prasong's cows to sell in Suphan Buri's Laokwan district for Bt108,000.

Not necessarily the best time to conduct business affairs.

If there was money involved these freaks would not hesitate to eat their own grandma. The respect for human life is undergoing an alarming decline here.

And yes, I know it happens elsewhere too but this is a THAI forum.

Sell her maybe but eating her no thanks

This is now a serious matter of a murder investigation.

Looking at the OP it would seem its all cut and dried apart from apprehending uncle
