Vitamin C.
Can anyone recommend please what manufacturer they take, that produces the least side effects - excess acid for example, and also comes in at a reasonable cost.

Many expats order from a company called iHerb.     Easy to do, reliable, and much cheaper than buying here.

Keep orders under 50 dollars and usually no customs/tax.   I order Vit. C  made by NOW :  C-1000  250 Veg Capsules.     very good    check out website and price ....

Can I ask the obvious question as to why you’re not getting your RDA of vitamin C in your diet? Vitamin C is probably the hardest nutrient to be deficient in, especially in a country where fruits and veggies are (comparatively) dirt cheap.

Fruits with the highest sources of vitamin C:

Cantaloupe

Citrus fruits and juices

Kiwi fruit

Mango

Papaya

Pineapple

Strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, and cranberries

Watermelon

Vegetables with the highest sources of vitamin C:

Almost all of the Brassica family (Broccoli, Brussels sprouts, cauliflower, cabbage, turnips, etc.)

Bell peppers

Spinach and other leafy greens

Sweet and white potatoes

Tomatoes and tomato juice

Winter squash

And many more.

Sourcing your vitamin C from plants also gives the added benefit of lots of dietary fiber.

You missed apples.

But I would like to see an answer to your question:- why would anybody here need a vit C supplement?

I believe that I was and am consuming a more than adequate amount of Vitamin C already.

I was diagnosed with a condition from my ankles up, on the lower part of my leg.
Whereby the pigment of my skin went dark.
I was advised to take additional Vitamin C tablets, and low and beyond the colourisation disappeared.

Excuse me for not remembering the name of this ailment.

 raspberries, blueberries, and cranberries

Are these available in Thailand?

Local or imported?

Fresh blueberries are pretty east to find even upcountry, fresh rasberries and crabberries likely just at upscale places in Bangkok. Expensive. I don't know ehere from.

Dried cranberries, you can find easily.

Frozen berries, including blueberries, rasperries and mixed berries, any Tesco has, even upcountry.

Thank you very much for the info. Never noticed them in the supermarkets!
