True Internet Port Forwading

Featured Replies

I'm trying to setup a small web server using my True internet. I've setup the port forwarding and even tried putting the computer in the DMZ, but the connection seems to be blocked. This used to work for me in 2016 but setting it up again doesn't seem to be working.

Have true changed anything regarding this?

Apologies if you've already checked this but:

First thing I'd check is the IP address assigned to your router and then check a website that gives you your public IP. If they're not the same, maybe True are using CGNAT on your connection.

Sent from my ZX81 using a dial-up modem.

I think that may be the case. The router is showing:

WAN IP Address 100.88.103.37 and my Public IP is showing 58.11.x.x

Going to give True a call today and see what can be done.

Spoke to True on their live chat, explained the issue. He told me to turn the router off for a few mins, then on again and my WAN is now my public IP and everything is working as expected.

Glad it was as easy as that.

On AIS, we're stuck with CGNAT and need to use Dynamic DNS when port forwarding.
