What is this port please? (Photo)

Is it on your monitor? If so could be for dual screen ....just a guess.

Is it on your TV, or PC? The sign usually means that you can connect another monitor at his point. Newer ones have HDMI, but the port is to small for a VGA connection. Can you be a bit more precise?

It's on the back of a computer.

I recall seeing it in the shop and the clerk was pretty dense and said something about charging phones but I could tell he wasn't confident about that.

It doesn't fit for charging cords and the symbol obviously is wrong for that.

It does look like hooked up monitors but I don't know of or have any plug that fits it. Of course it's not VGA or HDMI.

Still a mystery I guess.

Maybe it's a hole for airing things out??

Could be ...get a torch in there an see if there is a connector....maybe a spare hole for something you didn't get for the price you paid.

I wondered if it was a Kensington security port at first, but the symbol for one of those is a Image result for kensington lock port icon

See the second link, it has that exact picture. It's of course an official Kensington Knock-off port.

could it be for a "Mini" HDMI for a second monitor?

Some graphic cards have two HDMI port, a normal sized one and a Mini

(Obviously if the space is empty it could be missing!)

I think it's a lock hole now.

As Jdietz has added a link, it’s a Kensington Lock hole to secure your PC or laptop with a cable and number lock ( similar to a cable for securing bicycles)

The symbol represents a chain !
