The mobile app. schedule goes out ~ 7 days.

The on-set schedule (Guide) goes out ~ 7+ days.

IMLE, the mobile app. schedule is the more accurate of the two. But neither are showing anything for SI/672.

Can't see week 2 games other than TNF: Fri. 14 Sep. BAL vs. CIN 07:20 on 122/666.

If you PVRed the kick-off game understand that it the start was delayed ~ 40 minutes owing to severe local weather, so that pushed out the end time.

Looked briefly for that fight, didn't see anything on the mobile app schedule.

With reference to your email, we would like to inform you that the Sports Online TV Guide is under development process.

Moreover, TrueVisions has been informed by ‘Sports Illustrated’ channel that it will cease broadcasting on all platforms, effective from
1 October 2018 onwards and a new channel ‘NFL Network’ will be coming soon. In the meantime, you can continue to enjoy 2018 NFL new season games starting on 7 Sep 2018 on channel 672.

If you have any question, please e-mail or call us at 1242 extension 2 to continue in English

Typical for True, discontinue a fully working and functional Online Guide while they are developing a new one and broadcast on a channel without any online or onscreen guide anywhere.

Interesting.

Makes sense why the schedule for 672 is blank I guess?

Would be awesome if this were The NFL Network. But maybe it's just a channel home for those two 'extra' Sunday games, and replays?

Given a choice between content and a schedule I'd choose the former. The mobile app schedule seems pretty good to me.

I'll dig around, see what I can find out.

The sad thing is that up until last year when SI broadcast NFL, they did broadcast NCAA football.  With SI gone It looks like that's not coming back  and there will be only an occasional game on another channel 686 or 687 if I remember right.

Unfortunately the "NFL Network" does not televise LIVE NFL games, only replays.  The live games are broadcast on either CBS, ABC,NBC or ESPN.

Fortunately, you are misinformed.

The NFL Network, of course, shows Thursday Night Football games LIVE, exclusively for the first two weeks (and 10/28 and Sat Night Football on Dec. 15 & 22 double-headers) then in conjunction with Amazon Prime and FOX.

But yeah, I like the NFL Network, more for news, reviews, previews, etc., particularly NFL Total Access.

But no clue if that's what they meant in the email you received, just sayin' it wouldn't be the worst news.

Correct about the NFL Network and TNF....

But if they do the same this year as in past years, the actual NFL Network also will RE-broadcast various of the nationally televised games from Fox, CBS and NBC at different off-hour times during the remainder of the week.

So if True was going to start carrying the actual, real NFL Network channel from the U.S., which would be quite a surprise, it could well also become another source for replay broadcasts of the various network broadcasts.

Also, re the Amazon TNF games, my understanding is Amazon Prime members will have access to those TNF games for free as part of their Prime membership, either via the Amazon website or via Amazon apps/devices like the Fire TVs/Fire Sticks.

But, I've also read that the public at large (non prime members) will be able to see those same Amazon game broadcasts via the Twitch app (or website, not sure) for free and without any membership/subscription.

In both cases, though, the viewer would need to have an appropriate U.S. IP address.

Yes, I was simply highlighting one aspect of the NFL Network which I enjoy. Replays are a given. Again, no clue if that's what we'll be getting. We did get NFL Total Access - a one hour show - here in the not too distant past - on some channel for one 'season'.

Amazon details from post #27...not seeing anything about a US IP as there is mention of over 200 countries...

NFL, Amazon renew streaming partnership for 'TNF'

The National Football League announced Thursday it has reached an agreement to renew its exclusive partnership with Amazon Prime Video to deliver a live OTT digital stream of Thursday Night Football, Presented by Bud Light to a global audience across devices during the 2018 and 2019 NFL seasons. Amazon Prime will stream the 11 Thursday Night Football games broadcast by FOX, which will also be simulcast on NFL Network and distributed in Spanish on FOX Deportes, once again securing the league's "Tri-Cast" model of broadcast (FOX), cable (NFL Network, FOX Deportes), and digital (Amazon Prime Video) distribution.

The Thursday Night Football games will be made available to the over 100 million Amazon Prime members worldwide in over 200 countries and territories, on the Prime Video app for TVs, game consoles, and connected devices, which includes Amazon Fire TV, mobile devices and online. Thursday Night Football on Prime Video will provide members a unique viewing experience complete with interactive features that bring fans closer to the game. The TNF games will also be available to Twitch viewers. The NFL and Amazon will also collaborate on additional NFL content opportunities and enhanced fan viewing experiences, including making the games available on Twitch's interactive social video service.

I stand corrected on the U.S. IP issue, at least as regards Amazon Prime members and TNF.  I hadn't realized that Amazon was going global with its TNF broadcasts for Prime members, especially since so much of the other Prime content they offer is restricted to U.S. audiences. But that's good news.

I wonder if access via Twitch for non Prime members will likewise be global, or only for U.S. IPs.

One other interesting and FREE resource that's lurking right now for U.S. folks is a website called locast.org, which is kind of a successor to the now deceased service known as Aereo.

Locast is a nonprofit entity that right now is rebroadcasting, for free over the internet, the local network affiliates (ABC, CBS, Fox, NBC) and most other local channels from several U.S. cities -- New York, Dallas, Houston and Denver, right now, with plans to expand -- for people whose browser geolocation shows them in those areas.

With locast, it isn't enough to just have a U.S. IP address. To get access to their stream, you have to configure your browser to show geolocation for one of those particular cities where they're operating. Which isn't hard to do, but does take a bit of tech fiddling. I've tested it, and the online stream works very well, and includes an online channel guide, etc etc.

The interesting part is, the people behind Locast set it up specifically with the purpose of providing online local streams of sports events for people who couldn't get OTA antenna reception and still wanted access without having to pay for cable. Of course, under their rules, their service is intended only for the use of people actually living/residing in those particular market areas... Key word there being, intended.

NFL Network for Thailand via True would be very interesting.

NFLN is a bit of an odd duck these days, in that AFAIK, there's no way you can get a legal feed of NFLN outside of having a participating cable TV subscription OR an online cable TV replacement service like DirecTV Now or Fubo TV. Unlike NFL Gamepass, the NFL doesn't offer any standalone subscription or access to NFLN.

I have NFLN right now via a DirecTV Now subscription, which I got on a promotion but which otherwise would cost $55 a month. And given that I don't need DTVN for any other purpose than the NFLN, once my promotion price of $25 a month ends in a month or so, I'll be dropping DTVN and thus lose direct access to the NFL Network. (My other main, preferred U.S. cable TV service doesn't offer NFLN at all right now).

In the absence of the NFL Network for me, during the regular season, I find that ESPN's M-F "NFL Live" program, which usually runs 1-2 hours, is a good overall catchup source for what's going on. On my cable TV system from the U.S., it usually airs here local time about 12:30 a.m. or so, depending on scheduling vagaries. ESPN also has several other NFL related studio shows during the week, during football season.

AFAIK, NFLN streams 7x24 on the int'l version of GamePass, all three flavors: Season Plus, Follow your Team and Catch up, so that would be another "legal" way to view it

Again, no clue what we're going to get or when, but maybe the NFL threw in NFLN on the contract with TrueVisions?

Are these big PPV fights normally on here? Which channel(s)?

Looks like it's in Las Vegas, Saturday night, so Sunday AM here.

Not seeing anything in the TrueVisions schedule as of today, and no blank spots.

I received week 2 schedule which includes names of the Sunday games and posted it in the "Sports" forum.  There was no schedule for the fight that you were looking for!

In addition to the Locast website I mentioned above, which is free and 100% legit, there's another new free NFL option this year that's also 100% legit for U.S. users.

If you don't mind watching the NFL on a mobile phone or tablet, Yahoo Sports this season is doing free webcasts of all NFL nationally televised games and local market games for the location where your mobile device location services shows you being located. (This is the NFL mobile broadcast franchise that Verizon used to have exclusive rights to in the U.S., but no longer does).

https://help.yahoo.com/kb/SLN28455.html

The webcasts are obviously intended for U.S. based audiences, but if you're using a U.S. VPN either by wifi or as an app on your device, AND you adjust your mobile device's GPS settings through an app like FakeGPS, the Yahoo webcasts can be successfully streamed on mobile devices.

I watched the Raiders-Rams MNF game on an Android tablet via this method (alongside my main TV screen broadcast). It's not perfect, and I'm not sure if that's because of the location issues or because Yahoo has a characteristically buggy app. So it typically took several attempted plays, and then backing out and trying again, before the stream would successfully load. But once loaded, it played just fine.

AFAIK, you can NOT view the Yahoo Sports live NFL game webcasts on a PC, nor do they make it easy to cast from a mobile device to a TV. I've heard it might be possible thru some means, but I'm not sure about that. And you do have to make sure that both the VPN and GPS/location settings on your mobile device correspond to U.S. coordinates. The location part probably works best if you set your mobile device's location settings to only read GPS, and NOT read wifi or cellular network info.

Supported methods:

NFL Live on Yahoo Sports is available on:

  • Yahoo Sports app for Android or iOS
    - For the best screen reader experience, assistive technology users should download and use either the iOS or Android Yahoo Sports app.
  • Yahoo Sports and Yahoo.com mobile web for iOS (Safari only)
  • Tumblr app
  • AOL app
  • AOL.com mobile web for iOS (Safari only)

Can I watch on desktop or Connect TV?

No, NFL Live On Yahoo Sports is only available on mobile devices such as a smartphone or tablet. Screencasting and Connect TV won’t be capable of streaming the games.

BTW, I tested both the Yahoo Sports and Tumblr apps for Android devices, and seemed to have better luck with the Yahoo Sports app. I didn't try the AOL app that's mentioned above, so I can't speak to that.

Another break in the proverbial dam -- NFL RedZone for $4.99 a month standalone, but only on mobile devices and no casting. And presumably only with U.S. IP and/or geolocation.

Quote

Every wish you could get NFL RedZone without a subscription to a live TV streaming service? Now you can do just that with a new $4.99 a month NFL RedZone subscription service. Now through the NFL app on Android and iOS if you click on the NFL RedZone, you will get an option to sign in with a cable subscription or for $4.99 you can watch NFL RedZone on a mobile device without a cable subscription.

Now there are a few limitations this subscription option only works on mobile devices. As best we can tell both iOS and Android have blocked the ability to cast the NFL RedZone stream from your mobile device to your TV. For some that may be a deal breaker but if you just want to use NFL RedZone form the NFL Network as a second stream on a mobile as you watch your local games this is a really great deal.
