Foodland on Thepprasit in Jomtien?

Featured Replies

Are they building a Foodland on Thepprasit in Jomtien? I heard rumours.

Rumors and signs for maybe 6-7 years. Also a new one going in on southbound Sukhumvit, right after Huay Yai Road.

Foodland will be in the new T21, Thepprasit location probably years away.

Initially, they had a sign on the lot saying Foodland was coming, this was later replaced by the large Foodland sign - it has now been quite some time ago (more than a year).  When the first sign went up, those of us that live in Jomtien area were happy to see it - but, it never happened -- rumors were they were putting one in Terminal 21 and the Thepprasit location would come after -- how much after, who knows.     IMO they lost a lot of potential business with the delay considering the number of farangs living in condos and housing estates in the area - for me, the Terminal 21 location is even further away than their Pattaya Klang location.   I still shop there, but maybe once every couple of months when I need something that I can't get elsewhere that is closer - if they had been open on Thepprasit, I probably would have shopped there at least every couple of weeks.

Thats what I heard... T21

They opened a new one in Royal Garden, in the basement car park!

The last I heard they were building a condo on the Thepprasit site, but even that seems to have stopped some months ago.

are you sure  ? really ? yes time dose fly but i thought it was longer than that. any way  thanks ?

While people have been waiting for the Jomtien Foodland, they built the Royal Garden one.

Nothing will ever go into Jomtien.  I'm sure every corporation that considered Jomtien had

their bean counters crunch the numbers and decide against it.

I don't know how that little Subway on Thappraya survives.  That is the only corporate chain

store of any kind in Jomtien, not counting 7-11.

I dont mind the riffraff folks here continue to inhaling the toxic fumes from Pattaya downtown while we are enjoying the Jomtien seabreeze from our 30 plus floor balcony Condos.

Its a advertisement for Foodland, no mention of a new store, been their for years.

Foodland is a store. They do own that plot. But a developer plans building a high rise first then besides that will come a Foodland.
