webfact
Don Mueang airport to build 1,000 more toilets By The Nation FILE photo Don Mueang International Airport is to build an additional 1,000 toilets to cope with rising number of passengers, the airport’s general manager said. Wing Commander Suteerawat Suwnnawat said the airport will spend Bt86 million to build the new toilet facilities that will be completed early next year. Currently, the airport has 2,000 toilets. He said the new facilities could be designed to reflect the unique culture of destination provinces in each of the regions represented by the airlines that use the airport and added that the latest technology would be used to ensure high hygienic and odourless standards. Suteerawat also said that the airport would seek a budget of Bt6 million to increase immigration checkpoints from 39 to 60 to reduce waiting time. Currently, the immigration checkpoints can handle 2,000 passengers per hour and the airport plans to expand the capacity to at least 3,000 passengers per hour. Popular Post gjoo888
What difference does it make how many immigration desks they have? I picked up some friends at DMK last week, and they told me only two immigration desks were open, and they had to wait about an hour to get through.

Khunbilly
1,000 more parking spaces would make a lot more sense. Parking there is a very inconvenient and a nightmare.
Popular Post Searat7
I never noticed a shortage of toilets at Don Muang terminals. It would make more sense to re-open the third terminal building (I believe this has been discussed) to increase the number of gates available. When you arrive from international destination you often have to take a bus and climb stairs (no escalator ) before starting the long walk to Immigration.

mlmcleod
So they will spend 86 million baht to add 1000 toilets. That comes to 86,000 baht per toilet. Those should be some luxurious toilets! Edited August 27, 2018 by metisdead Bold font removed again. Please stop using bold font when posting. Pedrogaz
How about building some more at Swampy while you are at it. Especially in the main departure hall. I am always dying for the toilet after spending 4 hours on the road to get to Swampy, and then I have to walk miles to find one when I get there. Seems a lot . I would have thought 2,000 was plenty unless most of them are frequently out of service.
Stargeezr
Have the Chinese guys quit crapping in the urinals of the existing toilets? I saw that happen when I was going through the airport.
